ABOUT ME

I got started in photography in 2017 during a deployment with the US Army to the Republic of Korea, where I was assigned to serve as the Public Affairs Officer, aka action Photographer, for my battalion's training events. From there my passion grew to capturing authentic moments with real people interacting with one another and the environment.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Environmental Journalism and serve as a Captain in the US Army Reserves. I prefer a journalistic style of photography and strive to make every shot feel organic, with timeless editing to bring out the most important details.

My dream is to work with the couple saying "I Do" at the top of the ski mountain, and the couple that shares their first kiss after jumping from a salty cliff into the crystal clear waters of the Cenotes. The mountains and ocean are my two great outdoor loves, and capturing your love in these adventurous places is my dream. This is how I came to the name Salt & Stone, after Saltwater and Mountains. And so begins Salt & Stone Adventure Photography.

When I'm not behind the lens I love spending time outside with my doggos, going on adventures scuba diving and backpacking, and creating other forms of art like printmaking and fashion design! I love learning new things, and right now I'm currently studying French. This spring I'll try my hand at beekeeping while entering my first season of full-time wedding photography!

Location

I work primarily in Western Montana, and am so blessed to have destinations like Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Parks in my backyard, perfect for destination elopements.

I am willing to travel almost anywhere to bring your photography vision together! I have extensive international travel experience in 26 countries and 46 states, in places like Thailand, Peru, Korea, Spain, Egypt, and the Caribbean. Contact me to discuss destinations! Currently, the bucket list includes Jasper National Park in Canada, the Cenotes near Cancun, New Zealand, Fiji, and Truuk Lagoon.

I have a goal of visiting all 50 states before I turn 30 this October 2023, so if your wedding is in one of the following states in 2023, your travel fees are waived!

I love capturing genuine and honest moments, without filters or photoshop. I want to celebrate you are you are, and refuse to do any body modification (besides a pimple here and there!). My photos are rooted in truth and emotion, with piercing eyes and tender moments, gently edited to bring out the details of your day.
